1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It does not store official criminal records and cannot retrieve a record, perform an official background check, or submit a filing for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify the Box Butte County Sheriff, the county courts, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry as appropriate official sources. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research tools.

Official access remains governed by Nebraska law. The Nebraska Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §84-712, applies to government records, while Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523 limits defined non-conviction information in the public State Patrol history.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

• Use bots, scrapers, or other automated access tools
• Attempt to enter protected systems or obtain unauthorized access
• Stalk, intimidate, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
• Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
• Violate any applicable local, Nebraska, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked tool to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or discriminate. The restriction is especially important for Nebraska Sex Offender Registry data. Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-4011 prohibits using registry information to commit a crime or unlawful act. Registry access supports community safety awareness, never vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit report, consumer report, or official background check. Our advertising partners and this site do not provide tools designed to evaluate job applicants, rental applicants, insurance eligibility, or credit. Information found here or through a linked service must not be used to:

• Assess credit or establish insurance pricing
• Make an employment decision
• Evaluate a tenant or housing applicant
• Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
• Carry out any other decision regulated by the FCRA

A legally permitted official check should be obtained through the Nebraska State Patrol or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Box Butte County charge, warrant, conviction, or Nebraska set-aside rule affects a specific person. Consult a Nebraska-licensed attorney for legal advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is." We make no promise that:

• Partner search results will be complete or correct
• Information will always be accurate, current, and complete
• The service will remain available without interruption
• Pages will contain no defects, errors, or security weaknesses

Criminal records change when charges are filed or dismissed, cases are sealed, or Nebraska courts grant set-aside relief. Information can therefore lag. Nothing published here is an official statement of a court, sheriff, or other government body.

8. Intellectual Property

Box Butte County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, code, graphics, and logos. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative material without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site, its information, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless against a claim, demand, or action resulting from your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Nebraska law governs these terms. A dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Nebraska.

Access may be suspended or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability
