About Box Butte County Criminal History

Box Butte County criminal records are divided among the sheriff, the County and District Courts, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. Knowing which office created a record is often the hardest part. We built this private reference site to make the official portal, mailing address, counter, or phone route easier to identify.

Why We Built This Site

Nebraska provides several public access routes, yet no one office holds the whole story. The Box Butte County Sheriff keeps deputy reports and county-jail booking data. County Court and District Court clerks maintain filed charges, dockets, judgments, and dispositions. The Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division runs the state criminal-history repository, while NDCS holds state-prison data and the Nebraska State Patrol publishes the sex offender registry. We organize the verified contact details, official search paths, costs, and request steps for those separate offices.

What You Will Find Here

  • Agency contacts: where to reach the sheriff, the court clerks, and Nebraska's statewide record systems
  • Record guides: how to find and interpret Box Butte County court case records
  • Official check instructions: how public name checks and authorized fingerprint checks work through the Nebraska State Patrol
  • Record relief context: what a Nebraska set-aside does, what it does not erase, and which court holds the case

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a Nebraska court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot submit set-aside motions, public-record requests, or other forms for you
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, a court clerk, or the Nebraska State Patrol. We only identify the appropriate route.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes that appear on the site. Each provider controls its service, prices, results, and data practices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may earn us a referral fee, which supports free access to the reference material. We do not set partner charges or determine what their reports contain.
